Serra entered our lives over two years ago when our family was in a difficult situation.

Our teenage daughter had lost interest in eating and had dropped to a very low weight. I

remember Serra’s first day vividly. She stood in our kitchen with so much warmth and

love in her eyes. She listened to our concerns and hopes for our daughter. She

immediately got to work, moving gracefully and confidently about our kitchen. Serra

made two beautiful meals for our daughter that day, filled with all the nutrients she

needed. Our daughter ate a full dinner that evening; her journey to getting healthier had

begun. Over the next two years, Serra showed up – two days a week, never skipping a

beat. Our daughter gained the weight she needed thanks to the love and hard work

Serra poured into her meal preparations.

Serra’s role had quickly moved from cooking for our daughter to preparing meals and

snacks for the whole family. Our family favorites include chicken and tofu pad Thai,

homemade pizza dough, marinara sauce packed with protein and vegetables, chicken

parmesan, broccoli cheddar balls, butter chicken meatballs, the best brownies you will

ever taste, soft pretzels baked to perfection, pumpkin bread, and my personal favorite –

wholesome, crunchy granola – all presented beautifully.

Not only is Serra a talented and remarkable chef, but she is one of the most genuine

and kindest individuals I know. She will go out of her way to help others and cares

deeply. She puts her heart and soul into her cooking and her connections with those

around her. Serra effortlessly became a bright light in our family. She is easy to love, to

be inspired by, and will warm your heart and nourish your body and soul.
